A small group of journalists met in the Palais in 2008 to discuss language diversity in Europe. It was noted with regret that there was no easily accessible, compact work on the legal and political background of the minority question in Europe. The idea of writing an "A-Z of the Protection of Minorities in Europe" was born. Two years later the book was officially presented to the Austrian Parliament under the aegis of Rita Süssmuth, former President of the German Bundestag. The photo gallery provides impressions of the presentation. The attendees included Martha Stocker, Vice-President of the Regional Council of Trentino - South Tyrol, who subsequently arranged for the book to be translated into English, and South Tyrol’s Governor Luis Durnwalder, who presented and discussed the book in Brussels.
